With the 2019/20 season now over, Ed Haslam has resigned as 1st Team Manager.
Haslam has taken the decision to leave the club after a year in charge. Haslam said “It’s with deep regret that I’ll be standing down as manger of the 1st team. Having a young family is proving more and more difficult and my work commitments are increasing which bits greater pressure on me during the week and maybe even Saturday mornings.”
Haslam joined the club in the summer of 2018 to become Assistant Manager to Andy Hurst. When Hurst left in May 2019 – Haslam took over as Manager.
He added “The lads have been a brilliant set of players to manage and I’d have loved to have finished on a high but unfortunately it wasn’t to be. I want to thank them all for the commitment and confidence they’ve shown in me over the last two years. With a couple of additions this squad will be challenging for the league.”
Chairman Mark Warburton all commented “It’s been a pleasure to work with Ed the last two seasons, he is a top man and I really hope we see him around in the future.”
The club are expected to make a decision on the new manager later this week.
